On 19 May 2026, the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs joined the Livery Committee, the Worshipful Company of HR Professionals and the Worshipful Company of Marketors to host The Implementation Imperative at Guildhall. The premise was simple. There has been a great deal of discussion about diversity, equity and inclusion. There has been rather less about doing it. The day was given over to the second part.

I spent an evening at Stationers' Hall in March debating one of the more loaded questions circling education, technology and culture right now: "Human creativity cannot flourish in a TikTok world." The Knowledge, Information and Human Potential group of Livery Companies put together a genuinely sharp panel: Professor Ron Barnett, Dame Alison Peacock, Dr Brooke Storer-Church, and Professor Philip Booth, and what unfolded over the next three hours was the kind of conversation you rarely get to have anymore. Messy and unresolved in the best way.

The United Guilds Service 2026 took place on Friday 20th March. For the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs it was especially memorable to take our place in St Paul's Cathedral in what is now our perpetual slot of 112*. Sitting in the Company Row on the north side of the aisle, immediately behind the Arts Scholars' Company (110), and with the Human Resources Professionals' Company (114) behind us, it really did feel as though we were finally part of the City furniture!

In 2014 we were granted authority by the City of London Aldermans' Court to become the Guild of Entrepreneurs and as such the youngest member of the Livery movement with its 900 plus years of history. In 2020 we were granted permission to progress to become a Company Without Livery. One step closer to our aim being granted full Livery status, thereby taking up our full position within the City of London
