The first Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs Scale-Up Capital event of 2026 will take place at the London Stock Exchange on Friday 5th June. Registration is from 1pm, and attendees will be welcomed by the London Stock Exchange Team promptly at 1.30pm. Investee Companies will pitch throughout the afternoon (full details will be in the event brochure), and all are warmly welcomed to the balcony for Market Close at 4pm, followed by refreshments and an opportunity to talk in more detail to the investors and investee companies until 6pm. The "Livery assembled in Common Hall" elects two Sheriffs each Midsummer Day at Guildhall. This delightful piece of City pageantry is the first of two elections (the other being at Michaelmas to elect a Lord Mayor), and, in the summer sunshine and with all the civic member carrying posies of flowers, a colourful and highly photogenic affair. Normally, one of the Sheriffs is an Alderman, who will hope to go on to become the Lord Mayor one day; and the other, sometimes referred to as the Non-Aldermanic Sheriff, takes on this senior civic role for just one year at the Old Bailey. The 2026 Election Court Banquet will be held at Tallow Chandlers' Hall. The is one of the two principal feasts of the Company Year, a white tie Livery banquet in one of the City's most beautiful Halls. A drinks and canapes reception will take place in the Courtyard from 6.45pm. Presentations to the 2025 Defence Academy Entrepreneurs' Prize winner, to the winner of EASI26, and to the Trust's 2026 beneficiaries will take place at 7.30pm. Inter-Livery Kent Coastal Hike, Saturday 5th September 2026 Liveryman Amy Hopper is hosting this year's Inter-Livery walk along the Kent coast. Master Alastair King is walking. The Mayor of Sandwich, Cllr Emmet Csuka, is meeting the group at Sandwich Guildhall to send us off. The route runs from Sandwich along the coast, through Royal St George's, finishing at Deal Pier. Around three hours at a steady pace. A shorter alternative is available, as are morning historical tours of Sandwich for anyone who'd rather stay in town. Fish and chips on Deal beach at the end. Pay as you go. Open to Liverymen across all companies, plus families and well-behaved dogs. £5 per walker, going directly to The Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs Trust.
